I've heard the PSAT is easier, but isn't the PSAT just a shorter version of the SAT!?

Well, people tend to differ in their opinions on the two tests’ relative difficulty. The PSAT is essentially a shorter version of the SAT, lacking only the essay (unless I’ve forgotten something) and a larger volume of questions in the other sections.

Ahhh alright thanks. =/ i’m nervous about this curve, i fear i’ve become complacent after this october 9th SAT! =[

The biggest difficulty about the PSAT is the psychological aspect. You only have one chance to get it right. The SAT can be taken multiple times and there is also the ACT as a back-up. Some kids might have difficulty with the extra added pressure the PSAT (and possible National Merit qualification) brings.

hahaa yes i’m very nervous about that. thanks dignified!
i feel like this is my one and only chance,=[
and it is.
crazy studying right now. LOL i’ll never feel ready

^Congratulations on bumping a 2 month old thread and advertising for Shmoop in the same post.

PSAT is easier because its not as long. Fatigue plays a majore role for most test takes on the test. Math is also a bit easier on the PSAT. However, the PSAT has the harsher curve (only a little harsher though)
