In your opinions, is the SAT or PSAT easier? I would say PSAT, just because of the essay, which will kill me once I get my scores March 29. I can write a good essay in 30 minutes, just not 25.

SAT.

I didn't care about the PSAT, because I knew I was going to do better than everyone else in the room no matter what. On the SAT, though, I realized I'm competing against people on CC... so I just tried harder. I haven't gotten my score back, yet (I'll get it in 8 days), but I know I got better than a 2170. It was also much easier to focus on something that directly affected my future--I even wrote "future" on the test booklet whenever I was losing concentration...

That's a good focus method, writing "future" on your test booklet... I've got to remember that. I think the difference is for me is that I studied for the SAT, but I probably got lower on that. Oh well.

lol same moonie, no way i'm getting a 2290 this time around

PSAT was sooooo much easier... hope I did okay on the SAT crosses fingers

I found the SAT to be tons easier, I got perfect on that, but on the PSAT I was in the 220s.

PSAT is a joke. The SAT isn't as much of one.

i thought the PSAT was harder...there are fewer questions so therefore the curve is harsher, imo.

I got a 232 on the PSAT and 2270 on the SAT. I thought the PSAT was easier because it was shorter -- the SAT was just exhausting.

Sat I

Taking the PSAT was easier since the time was shorter, and on the SAT I was really tired by the end. As far as questions go, about the same?

PSAT was easier by a bit

Psat........

PSAT was easier, but then again, I was also stupider....(more stupid, I know).

PSAT by far. Shorter test, easier to get through, more evenly spaced and adequate breaks, no essay, little pressure unless you're banking on National Merit to get you some money. My PSAT score was a lot better than my first SAT score... as for my next SAT score, we'll find out.

The PSAT is easier. Supposedly, you will go down 50 points when taking the SATs on your first try. But, if you studied more for the SATs, then you will of course do better. If you study to your full potential and take the Psats, then the next day take the SATs, you will get 50 points lower in each section. This has to do with more vocab questions (which are on average harder for people), longer passages, and more difficult math. Im not sure how it works for writing... the essay can help or hurt some people.

I found the SAT considerably easier.

Update:
I actually went up 220 points on the real SAT! Overall, I thought it was harder, but I actually focused harder on the real thing, so overall, I'm proud of my scores.

Well actually, I found the two tests to be comprable in level of difficulty... on the PSATs I got a 207 my junior year and on my SATs I got 2020 the first time and 2070 the second time (2100 was my cumulative best).
