I was the 2006 Time Magazine Person of the Year.

Should I write that on college applications?

You (Time Person of the Year) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I won it. I was heavily involved in Youtube and Myspace, that year.

Ur joking right?
thats my honest first reaction.

hahaha oh, please do it. As long as it’s a school with a good sense of humor, it should be fantastic.
where are you applying?

LOL this is funny.

If I was reading your app, I’d find it hilarious and witty. Do it.

Well, I already applied to three schools (Arizona State, Montclair State, and Ole Miss). I forgot to tell them about my prestigious honor. Perhaps if they wait-list me, I’ve use this as my thing to get it.

I might apply to one more school, though. Haven’t decided which one yet.

oh that’s clever!

seriously, apply to Harvard and mention this! Watch you get in… Now I have to send in an app to some school with this…

Do it! That’s just hilarious. The least that would happen is that the admissions office would get a great laugh.

“…in 2006, as the internet became more user-generated, I contributed deeply to Myspace and youtube. Doing so, Time magazine honored me by named me as their 2006 Time Magazine Person of the Year…”

I was around when Time announced its cop out of a person of the year, and, trust me, you aren’t the first to have had this idea. I wouldn’t be surprised if admissions officers joke about how long it’s going to take for applicants to stop being “witty” and putting this in their apps.

I’ve joked about this with my brother so many times. Rocker’s probably right…
