<p>So for one of my college applications, I put down "TIME Person Of The Year 2006" as one of my awards.</p>

<p>did you really put down TIME Person of the Year? are you hoping that they take it as a joke and think it adds that "extra something special"? have you considered that it might take away from the validity of any real awards you may have listed? lol</p>

<p>also did you do this to one of your top choice schools or just a school that you didn't really want to go to/didn't have a very good shot at anyways?</p>

<p>I think it's clever/cute... I'd find it funny, but I guess you never know. The reason I even bother posting is because I was wondering about this TIME thing... I've seen this joke written a few times and apparently everyone won it, but I don't understand. What am I missing here?</p>

<p>Vandy, TIME magazine's person of the year for 2006 was 'You' - basically.. everyone who uses mass media to communicate (though there was a huge focus on youtube especially)</p>
