<p>Why should it? Brown is comparing you with this year’s larger applicant pool. Statistically, your chances are lower than last year.</p>
<p>I hate to say it but I agree that it’s possibly worse. But…one never knows. What did you DO for yourself this year? I think most colleges will take a hard look at your grades for a transfer student. That said…applications are UP everywhere. There is a response in CC’s “Ask the Dean” section where someone asks this question about NYU (or they were rejected, dunno). Basically, the Dean said he (she) doubts the odds will change much, because probably the application is really the same. It’s the same person unless you’ve done something incredible since then. Same school requirements. I mean, I’m SURE a few formerly waitlisted students might get in. But…an advantage? I say nah. Sorry.</p>
