I wish counselors were black & white.

I'm writing this thread as a highly paranoid UC Riverside transfer applicant. TAG application is almost complete just need to clarify a couple of things.

I am a psychology major and have just received an email stating that psych is not a selecting major and any major prep I do not complete at my CCC can be finished at Riverside and the TAG matrix for 2015-2016 says:

"Majors that require major preparation: All majors in the Bourns College of Engineering (BCOE), College of Natural & Agricultural Sciences (CNAS), School of Business
Administration (SOBA)
See www.assist.org for major preparation and http://admissions.ucr.edu/Home/transfer for campus details"

BUT on UCR's TAG page it says:

"You must complete required major preparation for your intended major. See major selection criteria at www.assist.org."

IGETC is completed & I am missing 1 major course because there isn't an articulated course at my CCC.

Is my TAG application going to be accepted if I meet all requirements but am missing the 1 course since Psychology is a part of CHASS instead of the colleges listed above? The emails I have received from UCR haven't been very clear & every time I try to clarify it just gets more hazy, so it isn't helping much. (Sorry if this doesn't make any sense, I'm just worried and want to be sure what I'm doing is correct).

They should have no problem if the necessary course isn’t offered at your school. I think you’ll be alright.

Yes, I concur with cayton. Sometimes the TAGs make it confusing because it will say all major prep work needs to be completed, but then in the small print it says the requirement is waived if a course is not articulated. So don’t worry.

Good luck!

@kristyalene‌ I dont understand your original question… What is the preferred race of your counselors??? is it black or white, vs. black and white… the posting makes it very ambitious for a counselor of mixed race (black and white) to meet your criteria…

Obviously I’m kidding, however I concur with the previous 2 post… if you CC does not offer the prerequisites then UCR will not punish for it…

@Dagoberto‌ 50 shades of grey, baby!
