Legacy: No

GPA's a little low if it's weighted, SAT's are pretty good, I'd say you should get in.

EDIT- Don't worry about your writing score, UF isn't using it in their calculations.

UF is very systematic. You are in state, you have a 1380, top 10%, 3.7 (but it is difficult to know exactly how they will calculate your gpa), you have APs, extracurric's, and you have the recommendation and essays which they don't actually read unless it's a deferral type situation. the only thing i would even be worried about is the GPA...it's a bit low for UF.

otherwise i think you are definitely "in".

yeah, you're pretty likely to get in...you qualified for the honors program last year! last year they required a 1370. I think its a 1400 now, so you're pretty close. Don't worry, I dont see any reason why you wouldnt make it.

"Upper 20s" does not equate to top 4% of 490 people. Still, I'd say you're in.

^^If she's #20 then she'd be 4.08%, close enough to top 4%. They're not gonna split hairs.

lol... geez, I was # 19 last time I checked. But my grades arent the most spectacular sight, but hel, if it's that big an issue, We'll go with top 5%...

OK...I see what you mean....you really mean "lower 20s". I was splitting hairs because a few years ago (and perhaps this is still the case) if you graduated in the top 5% of your Florida public HS class, you were an automatic admit.

oops, my mistake, i really meant "lower 20's". I can see your point now.

Thank you guys for giving me hope. I may not have to use that noose after all, just kidding.

THANKS! ;)
