I wish we had known that a car is needed

<p>My son is a Television Broadcast major. I guess we knew that he would eventually need a car for internships, etc. but wish we were told that he probably needs one from the beginning. We don't have the means to give him one right now and I'm very nervous for him to drive in that area. I say this because he has had at least 4 events in the Hollywood area (tv shows, lectures) and is just told that he needs to ask a classmate for a ride. When he attended the film camp the previous summer after his junior year they provided buses for all the field trips.</p>

<p>He couldn't find a ride for a lecture tonight. I hope he doesn't suffer repercussions for signing up for an event and not going to it due to not finding a ride.</p>

<p>Wish I'd thought to ask about this during campus/Dodge visits.</p>

<p>Marioluigi, my son is also a broadcast major at Chapman…he has not needed a car for anything yet. What class specifically is requiring him to drive so far away? Maybe my son isn’t taking that class yet. Hmmm.</p>

<p>My daughter is a junior at Chapman, this is the first year she has taken a car to school. I understand that it is an inconvenience to get to the store, or to jobs, but there are no off campus classes or lectures.</p>
