I took AP Chinese and got a 5 when I was in high school, but didn't send the score to my cc back then. Since I need to get a full certification for IGETC, I sent my AP score to my cc on July 1 ( idk why but college board was closed in June, so I could only do it on July1) apparently AP chinese can satisfied my foreign language requirement right? So after a week or so, I requested to get an IGETC certification and my counselor promised me she would only send out my request once my AP score is received. However, today I got a mail saying that I am PARTIALLY CERTIFIED because of the foreign language requirement ( apparently my counselor didn't keep her promise and send out my request when my cc hasn't received my AP Chinese score.) I also sent my AP Chinese score to UCLA. So what should I do next? I won't get rescinded right?

Call UCLA admissions and, to everyone, don’t trust your counselors; very few are actually good at their job.

one thing I learned last semester (and the only thing I remember), is that CC counselors are completely worthless and you will know more about transferring if you spend 10-15 minutes reading information that is wide open on UC and your CC websites. And don’t EVER let them do anything important for you because it almost screwed me over.

Contact your admissions officer for UCLA to let them know what happened, contact a DIFFERENT CC counselor to have them send the complete IGETC certification, and if you’ve seen the movie Glengarry Glen Ross, then go to your counselor who screwed up and rant at her like Al Pacino rants at Williamson :D
