It says here UCLA Undergrad Admissions: IB Credit - College of Letters and Science that a 5 or higher on the IB Biology HL exam will get you credit for Intro to Biology. Which of the Life Science series does this refer to?

There is only one life science series.

No I realize that. But will IB Biology HL give me credit for all LS 1-4 or just LS 1 for example? I ask because many people say LS 1 isn't necessary for premed, but it is for my major so I'd rather get credit for it and not have to take it...

i don't think anyone gets credit for LS classes with AP biology. not sure about IB though

Yeah, not sure about IB. I would think that you would not though, because generally you have to take all the classes required for your major at UCLA.

So what is that website referring to?

im pretty sure you need to take all the LS classes if you want to do science/premed, my roommate said a 5 on AP bio gets you out of LS1 but if wouldn't count if you apply for med school and stuff
