Hi guys , I am having small diffuculties and need help. So I am studying IB diploma program whereas I need to proceed with my country's education system which means I am struggling or drowning between 3 systems if we count SAT as well. Thats why my school scores are low and I want to know whether universities accept IB diploma score rather than the GPA since it will be my last hope...

You’re better off inquiring in the international students forum. For US universities, their first measure of high school achievement is GPA, not the attainment of an IB diploma (since it’s so rare)

I will share what happened with me during my IB and college admission period. I am a high school graduate and am planning to join college in the fall 2015, making it obvious that i have taken a gap year.
Well, I applied to 8 colleges in my 12th grade for engineering (including purdue, ohio state). My predicted IB score was 39 which is considered exceptionally well for an IB science student. And my SAT super score was 1990 (descent). My top school was purdue, however I did not get into it. I got into ohio state but was not able to attend due to medical reasons.
So I applied again for the next fall, but this time I had my final grades with me, which were 31/45(just above average). I applied to the same universities and this time, I have got into all of them including purdue.
See, i am not a professional but I have some sort of experience and I think that the value of IB diploma in united states is pretty amazing as it is the hardest high school curriculum according to many peeps. Specially if you are a science student, with subjects like math, chem and physics as HL. The US colleges will definitely see the value of just an IB diploma. Good luck

If your school has a GPA/grade equiv which is low because you are doing the IBD and sitting SATs, so are plenty of kids, US and International. If you go to a school that doesn’t have GPA like UK schools, the universities you apply to will know that. The IBDP won’t make up for low SAT or GPA.
As maybe the above poster indicates, you might be less of a risk with scores in hand, but of course, that won’t happen for a senior applying to college.

I am quite concerned with my grades. Because I have 3 different objectives (IB , national education system and SAT) they are like 2.5 out of 4. My last hope is IB I think which I will be working hard and get at least 38 and same as at least 2000 in SAT. I am just asking if a student gets a fancy score like 38 on IB and gets low grades on GPA like 2.5 , will that gpa matter over THAT IB score??
