IB Diploma students....

I found out today that my journalism class covers both Creativity and Action hours--which means I only have community service to worry about. Well, that's a relief.

Yay! I would totally take a Creative Writing class if I could.

OK, so, my subjects:

Higher: Chemistry, Physics, Math, English A1
Standard: German B, Economics, Further Math

The German B one year course is a wondrous thing, so in effect, I'm not taking seven subjects at once.

Now here's my question. How's everyone's extended essay coming along? Mine is sort of done but woefully short, so in effect not done yet. But the deadline's Friday, January 13th (auspicious date, huh?), so I'm not stressing yet.

OUr due date is December 6th. or something lke that.
2,000 words are due next week. Soooo bad.

Extended Essay
In our school it depends on the teacher. Final deadline is January but my advisor/teacher wanted my first draft by the first day we came back from summer break. I gave in my second draft this Monday, and its just the final draft left. (This is just the actual text itself, minus the bibliography, summary, etc.)

HL: Psych., english, history of the americas
SL: spanish, chem, math

I'm doing my Extended Essay in Chemistry. :( Can't do last minute experiments. Darn it! And next month is History IA deadline. :(

IRvirtuoso: Spanish B or Spanish Ab Initio?

who here is taking the exam in november? as in ...the one in 3 weeks? ARGHHHH

naah May for our school

Mine's in May. If you're sitting for the IB exams in three weeks, good luck! I assume that you're in some Austral-asian country?

Does this mean that you get almost a year off before starting college in the States - assuming that it is your plan to go there?

umm yeh about 9 months off..

although i dont expect to get into US colleges

May for our school, too, though some people will retake IB exams they failed in May in 3 weeks time. I took Chem, Bio and English A1 all at HL level in May. Oooh.

Which exams are you taking?

IB Diploma Candidate Here:

HL - Eng, Math, Chem, Bio, History
SL - French, Physics

I have 5 HLs (chem is my extra certificate... so yeah, i take 7 IB courses...><)

Darn, that is TOUGH. French anticipated or French at end of 2nd year?

Good luck with that. I would have DIED if I took your course load. Though, actually, tilting my head that is a rather good choice of Highers.

I'm not an International, but I am in IB. :)

HL: Biology, English A1, History
SL: Math Methods (7), German B, Psychology (7)
extra/certificates: Physics HL, Chemistry HL

My Extended Essay's in History.

Hmm.. I am not a IB diploma candidate...

My little sister is going to a Ib school next year...
so when she graduate, she will do it with about 6-7 subjects???

I will graduate this year with 15 subjects with extended essay in mathematics . Why so big difference between the dutch and Ib systeM?

FAST QUESTION:

Us Colleges look at your final IB SCORE?

Thanks

The UCs do. I don't know about others.

GoCollege: US Colleges only look at the total IB score (usually only Highers) when trying to decide if you qualify for advanced credit. Some other universities/colleges (a few) give you sophomore standing if you get 30+ points.

Deference: I don't know about the Dutch Diploma, sorry.

what about Ivyleague?

I got a high predicted but I am worried about my real grades.

Do you think they will check and can resind my app?
