IB English Toefl Requirement

<p>Hello, I am currently an IB student in his senior year. I am aware this is very late of me to ask but by any chance does any body know if i require toefl for usa if i have IB English Language and Literature A HL with a 7 predicted? I am planning to apply to university of michigan, carnegie mellon, northeastern university, university of rochester, university of southern california and some more - i know for northeastern i do not require as they consider IB but can someone please tell me if they know specifically for the other schools i mentioned if i require toefl.</p>

<p>I live in Japan and my ethnicity is Indian (Non-English speaking countries), but i have been an international school for 12 years. Anyways, thank you</p>

<p>Each place sets its own policy about the TOEFL, so yes some will require it. If you can’t find the information on the college/university website, send an email to the admissions office, and ask them.</p>

<p>I am in the same boat. What I found out is that if your main language of instruction in school has been English for at least the last five years then at least all the schools I’ve been looking into does not require TOEFL tests. But check with the schools you are applying to. If you can’t find the information on the internet, then perhaps send a mail to any admissions worker at the uni- they should be able to answer your question. Good luck! :D</p>
