IB Exams

Is anybody else out there in the full IB diploma and taking the exams and suffering like I am? And not only am I writing exams for the six required subjects, I have an extra subject, so three more papers for me! Woo hoo! Does anybody know if Brown wants our final IB scores? Or just our final high school marks?

I never understood the whole IB thing...

i'm taking the ibs too! its taking up my life now. i think they do want our final ib scores

Yah, the exams are taking up my life too.. ahhh when will they be over? What subjects do you have? I have Chemistry (HL), Computer Science (HL), English (HL), History (HL), French (SL), Math Methods (SL) and Physics (SL).

Ditto witto here. But hey...it'll save us more than a year tuition (yes!). I'm sure that they want the final IB scores. And even if they don't specifically ask for them, you'll need them if you want the credit so it'll be useful if they already have them. Good luck with English paper 2 tomorrow! I'm on Spark Notes checking stuff out right now. We'll see...
Just remember: There's very little chance that these tests can destroy your life. You're already into an American school (be grateful you don't have to meet a condition like the people going to the UK from here) and they accept 5 or higher for credit. Chillax.

JustPete, by the way, I had a question (I used to live in Minneapolis) which high school did you go to?

Woo hoo halfway through!

I've just got languages (Spanish B and Hindi) left (as of this morning) :)

You people are so lucky, A-level hell doesnt start for at least another two weeks and doesnt end until june

Yeah but I had to make the most difficult decision of my life (college) the day before my exams began. That's hell, trying to concentrate on both.

spanish ab initio tomorrow and i'm done, completed! nothing more! phoeeeey.

Hey I didn't know they had IB Hindi! Cool!

You can always have a tutored language, one of the cool elements of the IB.

I'm suffering!! Doing the whole diploma but almost done

English HL, Chem HL and Business HL
Math Methods, History SL and French Ab Initio.

Only french and business left!!

I'm suffering from a major case of senioritis and am worrying what will happen if I don't get the same score that my teachers had predicted. Will Brown rescind my offer of acceptance?

no,
they will just accept you with open arms while secretly ushering for campus security to take you away into the oblivion that u belong in...

just done today! spanish ab initio was 'sweet. yeah i get a ridiculously high predicted due to optimistic teachers. hm hm. we'll see in july

"I'm suffering from a major case of senioritis and am worrying what will happen if I don't get the same score that my teachers had predicted. Will Brown rescind my offer of acceptance?"

Luckily, Brown is not in the UK. If you are worried, then don't send your scores to them, but they wouldn't care either way.

I just can't seem to get myself to work either. I certainly hope Brown doesn't require us to send our IB scores. I got two more left: econ and physics and then i can finally graduate!!

Yeah... predicted grades are always slightly inflated so its ok.. Dont think it will make a difference of you drop by a couple of points.. Beyond that.. maybe

Dont think anyone really studied much once the acceptances came through (or im hoping so atleast).. no way am i going to get my predicted of 42..
