IB grades for competitive colleges

I'm applying to colleges soon, but I'm not really sure how good my grades are because my school only gives IB grades, and not a GPA. I'm applying ED to Bowdoin, which has an average GPA of about 3.85 (15% acceptance rate).

My grades are:

7 -- HL History
6 -- HL Bio
5 -- HL Chem (going to work really hard to improve this, Chem isn't my strong suit)
6 -- SL Lang & Lit
6 -- SL Spanish
6 -- SL Math

Are these grades competitive with a 3.85 GPA? The only info Bowdoin gives on IB is the grades needed to get course credit. Are these good indications of grades they expect from IB students?

Thanks for the help! :)

I would say so, since at my school test grades are curved as follows:

7: A+

6: A-/A

5: B-range

4: C-range

And so on. Since you only have one B-equivalent grade I’d say you’re doing fine! Congrats!
