ib scores to get accepted to cornell

I'm an international student doing the two-year IB course in high school.

In my junior year, I was predicted 34/45 but in my senior year, I'm predicted 41/45.

I take:
HL english: 5
HL art: 7
HL DT: 6
SL business management: 7
SL abinitio italian: 6
SSL math: 7

Does anyone know the average cornell IB score?

I've got excellent EC's because of CAS. I do more than required - lots of charity work as well as public speaking and i've mentored younger students in business (that's only a few amongst a lot). I've also got a really good personal statement because I'm really good at writing.

I want to apply to the hotel school at Cornell but I don't have work experience which is hard to come by in my country. I know it is something that Cornell favors so if necessary, I plan to fly to the UK for two weeks to work at my dad's friends event management firm.

I am fluent in English, I've learnt Mandarin for 5 years (through GCSE's - I got an A) and I'm doing Italian in IB. Does knowing three languages help!? I also know a little bit of my asian national language

My SAT scores are terrible... 1700/2400.
I'm retaking them in October and I'm doing SAT II Math in September.

Do I have a chance at Cornell.......? And does the fact that I'm international (asian) also affect my chances?

Other schools I plan to apply to for hospitality management are Purdue (definitely) and NYU. I'm also considering UMass and UNLV but I'm skeptical about UNLV because at a whole, the school isn't that great.

Any recommendations on other schools I should apply to for hospitality?
AND, ANY IDEAS ON HOW I CAN POSSIBLY GET ACCEPTED TO CORNELL!?

Unless you are applying the fall after your senior year, or taking the tests in the winter slot, your IB scores will not be back in time to have any influence on your admission. Even if they did make it back in time, AP/IB test scores play a miniscule role in admissions because they show how well you did on one day, while your high school transcript says how well you achieved over 4 years.

That being said, your predicted IB score seems fine to get into Cornell. I got into Cornell as a white middle class male with no hooks and my total IB diploma score was a 30. My predicted score was like in the 38-42 range, but after seeing how little credit I could get from Cornell for really high scores I decided it wasn’t worth it to study hard. However I am not sure how being an international student affects your chances.

Um, yes I’m applying for fall after my senior year so, class of 2011!

Because we apply for university by January and we sit our IB exams the following May, I will be applying with my predicted IB scores.

In Hong Kong, we don’t follow the four year American system… I think IB differs in the US from here!? But regardless, I did two years of GCSEs (3 A’s, 3 B’s and 3 C’s) and now I’m doing two years of IB - predicted 37/42

I’m assuming you had a class rank and GPA too?
