Hello, I was wondering if you fine lads could tell me the chance of getting an top ibanking internship this July( Is it too late to apply? I've been too busy drinking lololol). I go to a semi-target (University of Phoenix) and I am majoring in communications.
I've got a decent GPA (2.2) and good EC's (secretary of milk and cookies club)

I kind of want to work at Goldman Sachs since they are the most prestigous firms, but I would probably settle for Morgan Stanley if I need to.

I know my gpa might be a little lower than some of the people on this boards, but you guys have to understand that I REALLY want this. Every since I discovered Ibankingoasis a few months ago, I realized it was the field for me because of the money.

What do you think guys? I'm kinda nervous about interviews! I think I've got it pretty well down, but I'm not really sure of what an Option is yet, I think it like a stock??? I'm a little confused, but I'm sure they'll teach me once I'm hired! Any advice to make up for my slightly lower GPA? I'm really smart, but I just don't pay attention because its so boring haha!

Goldman Sachs - match
Morgan Stanley - safe match

Even though you only attend a semi-target, your gpa is competitive and your extracurriculars are almost unheard of, in a good way, of course. If you do well in your interviews, I see no reason for you to not nail both internships.

thanks FastMEd! I was worried for a minute, but i guess my mom was right and I can do whatever I want in life! How many hours will I be working and how much do I get paid???

If you read the forums at ibankingoasis you should know that there is this guy with a 4.0 triple major (economics, math, finance) from a non-target North Dakota State University and didn't even land a single interview.

Are you sure University of Pheonix is a semi-target?

lol naff... come one... with your sense of humour, you'll never make it into IB... In fact, detecting humour is a good indicator of intelligence, but that's another story, :D

I'm just trying to spread the word, no point striving for a career that destroys your life and one that you probably can't get into anyway. You guys should thank me!
