I am planning on being a Chemical Engineer major, but I am looking into the IBE program. How difficult is it to get into the IBE program and if I do not apply to the IBE program, but want to get into it, is that possible?
Thank you

I applied directly to the IBE program (hear back on monday!) but i kinda doubt ill get in saying that lehigh’s a bit of a stretch for me as it is so i had the same questions as you. I went online to one of those online chats and had a good conversation with someone who did exactly what you’re talking about. Lehigh makes it incredibly easy to transfer colleges as it is but the Honors programs, which includes IBE, is a little more difficult. he said that he applied and got into lehigh but not the IBE program. He didn’t have to maintain a 4.0 his freshman year or anything spectacular like that to be considered for transfer and he said the majority of the decision for transfer came from an interview with the head of the program which obviously when very well.

he told me not to stress if i don’t get into the program because if your passionate about the field of study your interview will be fine and the freshman classes are basically the same if your in IBE or just normal engineering or business.
