<p>I regard the following points as important in my college selection:</p>
<ul>
<li>Going to best grad program in US (or Oxbridge)</li>
<li>Having best education of molecular biology</li>
<li>Specialization in curriculum</li>
</ul>
<p>Although ICL is in UK, it seems the place where I can have better chance to go to best grad program in US, because:</p>
<ul>
<li>ICL is ranked way higher (top 10) in the world ranking </li>
<li>Smaller students-faculty ratio </li>
<li>LAC-like research-focused style (e.g. graduation thesis)</li>
<li>Students have better understanding in their field because of their specialization</li>
</ul>
<p>Although UCLA & UMich are better known in US, that's not an issue in grad program admission. Their vast amount of endowment isn't important in this argument, either.</p>
<p>What do you think about this comparison? </p>
