ID Cards?

I'm curious about how ID cards work. I'm a senior and I will be attending in the Fall. I just sent my ITR form. Anyways, my question stems from season football tickets. I want to purchase student season football tickets when they go on sale. (I will be ready the second they go on sale. I know they're hard to get.) When I visited the campus, my tour guide says that it's put onto your ID card and they scan it, and you go right on in. So, how does this whole thing work? There are 2 home games before school even starts. So does your ID get sent in the mail? I'm really curious.

My daughter entered UO as a transfer student, but she got hers when she went to a transfer student orientation day in the late spring (before the fall when she started classes).

I think you may be able to get your student ID card in the summer at IntroDucktion. You can sign up for Introducktion starting May 2nd, I think. http://orientation.uoregon.edu/

Yup. I will be going to school late next week because I have to stay home and sign up for IntroDUCKtion and then my FIG later in the day. That makes perfect sense.

I assume they manage your data in a system? Such as your meal points and ticket stuff?

When do student season tickets go on sale?

That info hasn’t been released yet as far as I can tell. I’ve googled it. No info on 2011 tickets yet.

Meal points are on the student card. It will be scanned when you buy meals, drinks, etc. I don’t know about tickets, though. My daughter isn’t engaged at all with the sports scene there. She has bought tickets to concerts, but I she just paid for those with her bank debit card. I don’t know if her student card was used at all in that process… maybe just to confirm that she was a student, and so get the discounted student price.

I’m sure you can find all this out at Introducktion, though! You won’t be the only one wanting to know. ;)
