<p>Hey guys, almost time to start essays and I'm struggling a lot with my essay idea and personal statement for common app. I have a few in mind I could do:</p>

<p>Struggles of being an undocumented immigrant
Going through ADS (Alcohol Drug Services)
My obsession with pottery?</p>

<p>I'm a transfer student btw. I never applied for colleges in highschool so this stuff is kind of a challenge. I never had to write about myself before. Any ideas on my topics/suggestions for new ones? I feel like a rock, just so stuck and "thumped"??</p>

<p>Struggles of immigration seems like it is too cliche. Overcoming adversity, etc.</p>

<p>Going through ADS? I wouldn’t write about that, it just shows that you have a personality that could be questioned if you were questioned to possess alcohol/drugs…</p>

<p>Pottery could be a good topic, depending on if it’s your obsession or your hobby.</p>
