Idiot question about applying to the CSUs

My daughter is thinking about applying to SJSU for Fall 2012. We were looking at the CSU Mentor admission page...and I don't see anything there about it! I see Fall 2011, and then Winter 2012, Spring 2012 (something like that). What happened to Fall 2012?? I figured applications opened October 1, but I can't find any info. Help (this is my daughter's first attempt at college applications and we are already lost)!
Thanks in advance.

Is this what you were looking for?

[CSUMentor - Explore Campuses - Campus Facts - San Jose State University](<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU)

A link to the SJSU website is included in the link above.

Yes, that’s exactly what we were looking at - where’s Fall 2012??

I assume you wouldn’t see a link for Fall 2012 until October 1. You can still research requirements, etc. by looking at “Admissions” on the SJSU website.

And you can see how difficult or not it was to get into SJSU for each major in fall 2011 here:

[SJSU Admission](http://info.sjsu.edu/web-dbgen/narr/admission/rec-1199.html)

(CSU Eligibility Index can be calculated using the formulas on CSUMentor )

Thanks y’all for your replies! I guess we’ll just cool our jets and wait until October gets closer.

Are you residents of Santa Clara County?
With the state budget cuts, the number of students admitted to SJSU will be cut again and impacted further.
So unless your are local to SJSU you need to apply with that in mind.

No, not Santa Clara residents. We live just south of Los Angeles and in a bit of a bind regarding CSU’s who are territorial with their students. We are actually closer to CSULB, but they have just recently become VERY Long-Beach residents/high-school-students FIRST!!! oriented - which counts us out. Domiguez Hills is closer, and offers great many opportunities for students, however it is much smaller and, I hate to say it, a bit “gangsta”. CSULA - same. My daughter’s grades are looking really good at this point, so hopefully that will help. Budget cuts suck.
