<p>Im in my junior year right now and I have no idea when to take the SAT. I want to take it in Oct because that will be the only time that I will be free. I have SAT II's, AP's and i just do not have the time and or energy to study for the SAT. Any suggestions because I want to apply EA to a few schools. Thanks</p>
<p>You should take the SAT I in May (or June) and October. If you get a great score this spring, you can skip the fall test or use that date to try some other SAT IIs or re-take some. If you don't take the real SAT this spring, you won't have a very good feel of the range your score is in for selecting your reach, match and safety schools.</p>
<p>Take it once before July, take it once after july if necessary</p>
<p>I can't validate this in any way, but I did hear from someone while I was taking the January SAT's in 2004 that the December SAT's have a reputation for being easier. I don't know if this applies to the new SAT, but it might be worth a shot.</p>
