When UR sends you an email saying we need you to fill out more information for financial aid, does that mean you are in? Because my cousin did not get it and he got rejected...

I wouldn’t read to much into it. Did your cousin complete it beforehand? If so, then it probably does not indicate anything. Is it ok if we wait to complete it, because my parents are waiting for all of our tax info (and to see if I actually get in…)?

No, it’s not OK to wait, unless you want to be accepted without financial aid. They try to mail out the acceptance and the FA offer at about the same time so that you can make a reasonable decision about attending. They won’t have time to do it if everyone waits until they see if they get in.

I got an e-mail from Rochester too, saying that I need to send in my tax return in order for them to mail out financial aid offers. Does that mean it’s an acceptance?

@needtoknownow, is it because your cousin handed in everything and has a completed financial aid profile? Or are you guys missing the same documents and he didn’t get an e-mail telling him to complete his financial aid application?

this might be the worse form of a likely letter if it actually means we got accepted. LOL
