or do I send to idoc one set of docs for each school that will receive stuff idoc?

One for all if all schools use IDOC. Some schools don’t use IDOC and you have to send tax documents directly to them.

thanks. how does idoc know which schools should get the docs? I did see a list when we logged into idoc, but not all the schools that we applied to - but that say they need idoc - are in that list.

how do I get idoc to send teh docs to the other schools that are not in that list?

Schools subscribe to IDOC, IDOC doesn’t just send things to them. If the schools subscribe, then they should get your documents. IDOC is a service provided by the CollegeBoard that colleges pay for in order to make all the document processing easier.

If there is a school that says it needs your documents via IDOC but is not showing up as a college to which IDOC will be transmitting the documents, I’d call IDOC first and ask if their list of schools that will receive your docs is definitive and ask why a college that says they subscribe to IDOC is not on the list. If the IDOC help desk says, “No, we’re not submitting to that school” then call the school and let them know.

I tried three times to get through to css/idoc today. negatory on each attempt. when I got to the part that was not addressed by their IVR options, ie, a person, it went dead - like in some horror movie. ‘Oh, god, he cut the power! Ah!’

havent been abl to find an email to idoc yet, but I am sure it is there somewhere

Can you tell us which schools these are that are not on the IDOC list, but say on their own websites that they want tax documents submitted to IDOC?

U Rochester is one - and to be clear, UR is not on the list generated in my particular idoc session. By doing searches I found a post by I think, that said that Carleton also takes IDOC. Carleton is a school I applied to , too, but which also was not in the list. But I could not find idoc on the CC website - unclear whether I need to send to them. One thing, tho, we have not recvd ANY email from IDOC telling us about this.

So, after you submitted your CSS Profile, did you get the email from the CollegeBoard with the IDOC information and the link to printing your cover page?

Both URochester and Carleton show up on the CollegeBoard list of schools that use IDOC:

I’m not sure where you are in the process. You did submit your CSS Profile, but you have not received the email with the IDOC link, or did you already receive that email, and can see that some schools will be sent your tax docs, but those two colleges are not listed?

Did you check your CSS Profile application to make sure you got URochester and Carleton on there in the list of schools to which you want the Profile sent? I’d first confirm that, which I think you can do by logging back on to your Profile app.

How long ago did you submit the Profile?
