hello
i just started IDOC.. and they required 1099 forms, but my parents said we didn't have that form, because we don't own a business..is that true??

if thats true..i guess i don't need to include 1099 form, do i?

one more question: do i have to have all the forms listed on the cover page? because i don't have like half of those forms.. such as 1040X, 1041, 1065...

1099s are forms that document non-wage income. It can be tax refunds, interest from bank accounts or investments, self-employment, all kinds of things. Usually you will at least have one for your parents' bank account. Heck, I think we made 2 or 3 dollars in interest last year, and we got a 1099 for it. Also for the money that is refunded from taxes, that form is called a 1099G, but it's still a 1099. (Just look at the documents you have, they will be identified.)

There are many, many more forms on the IDOC cover letter than you will have. It's just telling you that if you have those forms, please submit them. We had only W-2s and a few tiny 1099s. Nothing else.

Don't worry about all that stuff you have no knowledge of. Just look at what you do have in terms of documents, and if it's on that list, send a copy.

Thank you for your thorough answer!!
