<p>Both of my parents are considering moving to VA bc of their jobs. However i need to finish high school so im staying down in SC with my neighbors. Would i be considered in state for VA if both my parents live in VA and work there even though i go to a school in another state?</p>
<p>i think you have to live in va for a year before matriculating for it to count, but maybe there's a way to change your status once you're admitted. for the first year at least (you're a senior?) you'll be paying OOS tuition.</p>

<p>Just call the FinAid office and get a concrete answer. Or, just wait and see if you're accepted first and then deal with it.</p>
<p>All states have cracked down in this area, but Virignia remains somewhat reasonable. See details at link below. As I read it, it would count, but it has to be 12 months prior to the first day of classes. It is obviously too late for fall of 2009, but not 2010.</p>
