If I could change one thing....

My gpa 3.8 is fine, could have done better but man I wish I could change my grades. Not a horrible gpa but the distribution of it lol...ehh.

I bet a lot of people who voted "grades" got A's and weren't happy.

I would change my GPA, def.

started my apps really early since I knew I wouldn't have time during winter break
applied to a couple less schools
not applied early decision

i'm not a big fan of gpa or sat scores :] most of the time, the only thing they measure is how good you are at memorizing stuff.

SAT scores for ever…

I suck at all of them, except PSATs haha

xoxok43, that sounds a bit like my school. Those who are at the top of the class have taken probably all of one AP class-- either AP Lang or Psych. Both easy to get an A in.

I picked GPA, but I can’t blame it all on that. I wish I had known more about what I wanted to do after high school when I was a freshman. My GPA would have been much more competitive. Probably would have actually studied for the SATs instead of winging it, too. :/

what i would have done differently?

Told my mom NOT to send me to that hs AND not to have transferred me from 4 different middle schools. I hated it, and while I don’t blame it for my barely passing too pitiful to continue talking about gpa, I do feel that it kept me from reaching my ultimate potential. I think I’m a pretty smart girl, entered gifted classes in early elementary, principal’s list, good IQ…just an introvert.

I really would change my gpa, rigor of hs courses(probably should have taken pre-cal and ap chemistry that was recommended), ec activities. My future for college is practically shot because I was a sloth, an unhappy one.

my GPA point average.
to say i am not a slow&steady student would be an understatement

My GPA!!! I was really sick sophomore year and got two 84 final averages! Oh Lord is that going to screw me or what?

I put GPA. Extra-curriculars was a close second. My SAT score (2050) is not the most amazing score ever, but it is a good, solid score that I am proud of. My GPA, however, is 3.65- I feel like I could have done better and didn’t out of laziness.

I put GPA cuz my freshman year i just kind of blew everything off and barely passed, now i have been working my butt off trying to make my average GPA higher so more colleges will look at my application. If you are smart dont put stuff off cuz you will pay for it, i am and i am smart… i was just a cocky freshman who thought she didn’t need to do anything.

same. I feel like my freshman year messed me up just because I was lazy.

GPA/GRADES!

not that many EC but very committed
and my scores are okay.

wishing i would have actually WORKED frshman and sophomore year :/

You know i actually started thinking about this a few months ago. I came up with the fact that before this everything I had done was for college apps, I had never really done something that I was passionate about.

Thats what prompted me to found Rise Against Poverty, link at riseagainstpoverty.org a not for profit organization that I believe will help me make changes in education. I hope all you guys will check it out and maybe it will inspire you to make changes anywhere else.!

i think if you’re overall a good student but then screwed up your GPA one semester or whatever due to being sick, family dying, etc etc, i heard that admissions officers want to know that, and there’s a section on your app for you to write it to them
obviously you dont want to come across as whiny or making excuses, but if overall you’re a good student and there was just that one time you messed up, it wont kill you imo

Grades for sure :(…

I have a 3.7, but I got like 5 borderline B’s, so I could probably have a 3.9 or something… Who knows "/ sigh

I would change my EC’s. In high school, I never played a sport. I was in a few clubs but would regularly skip meetings. This gave me a bad rep to a lot of teachers who moderated the clubs.

EC’s…I don’t think I’ve done anything noteworthy. Not even an understatement.

Sophomore year :(

if i had a 3.7 or higher i could have gotten into any school i wanted to go to, even princeton, because the rest of my app was spot less and impressive but my 3.4 held me back, but i am happy with my choice of Boston University

your wasting brain cells thinking about time machines or mind controlling teachers. Do something productive and think about how much better you can do in the future
