If I could change one thing....

My race lol

Should’ve made USAMO last year. I made USAMO in 2010 but then failed an extremely difficult AIME in 2011.

eh my B in phys screwd me to UCB (i was stanford/ivy hopeful, had 4x800 sat IIs, 2350 SAT, not perfect but decent GPA, siemens semifinalist, some sci olympiads…)

at least i got regents :P

Sorry, I know this is not on topic, but how do I start a new thread? I am back on the forum after a very long abscense and can’t find new tread button on the page.

Found it, thanks

I would discourage applying to “Reach” schools. Really not worth the hassle and disappointment. Targets and Safes offered better money and opportunities anyway.

My grades… Its frustrating. I take honors and AP classes and I get B’s, but when I take regulars, I get A’s. >.<

What willywonka said.

I’m so surprised the gpa/ grades are the top of the list o__0.

I HAD a 3.8 the middle of my junior year. now i have a 3.5 ; ~ ;.

My ECs sound so mediocre compared to everyone else here. :frowning: I wish I was a much more competitive applicant.

I would pin a photo of me with Abdul kalam (photoshop) on my CV ;)

GPAAAAAA. I party to much.

Definitely GPA. I didn’t have to think about that for any longer than it took to voice the word “grades” in my head. I knew before the page even loaded that the choice would exist and that it would get about 50% of the votes (42.22% - close enough). It’s for good reason, too; you CAN change every other factor, even if it’s difficult. Your grades are set in stone, and, on top of that, there is little that you can do to make them be seen in a more positive light.

Hello!

I just joined in college findings portal today. I observe that postings are excellent which gives good insight for the beginner. My Daughter studing Graduation in BioTech Engineering in Chennai. India and would get her Graduation Certificate this year.
She wish to pursue further in USA after her Graduation in Bio Tech. She is most interested in Food Processing. Pl guide us how to proceed further.

I would never have given the option of the highly priced colleges/universities or for that matter looking way back…costly private high schools…(if I only knew then what I know now)

not surprising that everyone would change their GPA hahaa more specifically I wouldn’t have gotten a C in Geometry Honors Freshman Year! :)

CHANCE ME PLEASE!!! I COULD REALLY USE FEEDBACK

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1383626-chance-me-penn-georgetown-vandy-wash-u-uva-unc-michigan-uf.html#post14782511

I got an A, 4B’s and a C in AS Level

It’s interesting how everyone chose GPA when they could’ve had a chance to work hard earlier on in their high school years. I mean, I chose GPA too… There is a certain amount of regret I have for not studying harder in freshman year when the work was so easy compared to now (senior full iB). My grades are not the worst in the world, but it’s not so great that I would go around bragging and applying to top schools… :(

Where do I begin with this? So many things I know now, I wish I knew then. First most, I wish I actually did step up my game with my grades, they weren’t that bad, just SO much B’s. Extracurriculars are a major change because I see so many people become athletes and knowing I could have had the chance if I stuck with XC/Track, it could have happened.
