touche :-/

I didn't know TrEbOr's, aka RCHANG, Tourette's Syndrome caried over on the internet too.

Oh please. He made one little quip about Berkley. Big deal. People rag on all the schools so get used to it.

lol chang you said you'd reject regents at ucla over admission to cal. you are quite ridicolous my friend :]
you will be surprised how close the two schools are.

HookedOnPhonix, they are very close, but Berkeley is #1 public university in the nation.....that's the difference....

HookedOnPhonix - Did I at any time say that Cal was leagues ahead of UCLA? Go ahead, reread my post, and you will see that I didn't mention that anywhere. I have my own reasons why I'd choose Cal over UCLA. For one, I don't have to worry about any fees at Berkeley since I was offered a substantial scholarship followed by several grants. Second, Cal has always been my dream school, and a school that was out of my reach. Third, Cal is #1 in the nation (tied with MIT and Stanford) for CS Graduate and UCLA is #14, and I plan on doing the 5th year MS program there, which is only available to Cal undergraduate students. So before you throw baseless insults at me, know your stuff, and maybe you will realize that you are ridiculous for making such accusations.

twitchyhamst3r - I'm sure if someone ragged on your precious UCLA, you would be quick to defend it as well.

@chang

Not really. I've seen a lot of that here and I'm not jumping at the opportunity. Lived in the area all my life and I know very well of its benefits and faults. Nice try though. :)

TheIcon: way to take my stuff out of context.

I would tell anyone to their face Berkeley has tree huggers, my friend that goes to Berkeley says that himself, so what.

I was not being tough, someone told me sarcastically that my input sucked, so i told them to "S-T-F-U". It's more natural than anything.

Yeah....
Way to justify your response tough guy!

okay, in your case it is an easy choice since you got scholarships and a cs major, and congrats on that. but you didnt say that anywhere in the regents thread so how is the other guy suppose to know you reasoning for choosing cal. you said something along the lines of "i'd choose cal over regents at ucla any day".

poppin- what's your major and what are u planning to do later on? depends on the major totally...

econ /biz econ

Like I said though, after I cleared up my head I realized that there's no way I can switch schools. In fact the girl actually messaged me back after I told her that I was going to switch to UCLA, and she told me that we should see new people. I suspect it's because she didn't want me to abandon my family just for her, which is absolutely reasonable. In fact, it was completely wrong of me to put that burden / guilt on her.

Regardless, I do plan on moving on and making the absolute most out of Cal.

No Regrets.

/emo spiel

You'll be happy you made the decision, Poppin. Just go where you want to go and where you will get the most rewarding experience. This is youyouyou time. :D

poppin - there re not many cute girls at berkeley tho

!!!!!!

just kidding lol

UC Legs and Ass!!

Mmmm..I like the sound of that, but I prefer tree hugging over LA. Socal is getting old

Go Bears, my babe...
Go Haas, my hottie.....

....O_o ^

I live in LA
I'm going to Cal for undergrad
I'll probably end up at UCLA for grad

I'm such a pimp, I have a big ***** =P

btw in case anyone was wondering, UCLA reversed my decline decision pretty painlessly (I sent an email requesting reversal). They said I would have to report any changes though.

Like I said before though, I've decided on Cal.
