If I don't get into the college that I want can I reapply for spring semester?

I really want to go to either UCSD or UCLA, and if I don’t get in, I’m not sure if it’s worth it for me to just go to a school that I don’t like as much. I’m wondering if I can reapply for spring semester and hopefully get in? I’m not sure what admit rates are for spring semester, and it would give me a chance to retake the ACT/SAT, during the first semester I would probably just be volunteering or working… HELP, PLEASE?!

Thank you!

P.S. The absolute LAST thing I want is to be stuck with no where to go at all next year, so if I have to go to one of the schools that I don’t like as much It’d be better than not going to college at all.

If you are rejected without any suggestion for reapplying, then it is likely that the answer will be the same if your apply for the Spring semester. It is best if you apply to the schools you really want to attend and then a few that you would be happy to attend. Once you know your options then decide and make your peace with it. I know that you are thinking now that only UCLA or UCSD will be good for you but my guess is that there is another shool out there which will fit you well. Go find it and apply.

Thank you!
