If I don't have a car, what's the best way to go visit Austin from UTD?

<p>Title says it all. My family is back in Austin and I'm wondering what the best/cheapest/safest way is to get back (bus route or whatever).</p>

<p>The options that I see are:
bus to DFW; flight from DFW to Austin and back
bus to Austin

use the zip car and drive from UT Dallas to Austin.</p>

<p>I’ve got a friend that lives in Pflugerville (sp?) and another that lives in Georgetown, and they both make it there pretty good by bus.</p>

<p>And although the Zip car is also an option, unless you want to pay like $66/day for the weekend (since it’s 180 miles/day) I’d say just get the bus.</p>
