If I don't send my Dec 11th ACT scores until I see them, will colleges get them?

-In time, that is.

I took the ACT in June and got a 31 composite. I had received a 33 in English, reading and math, but a 26 in science.

I retook it this Dec. and await my scores. I feel like I did better (I actually finished the science this time), but I'm nervous to send them before I see them.

ACT says that they will begin posting scores Dec 27th. Best case scenario, if I were to get them on Dec 27th and send them that same day, would they reach colleges in time?

Bumping the thread.

Update: I recently talked to my counselor about the situation. She said my best bet would be to send my June scores to all of my schools. Then, if my December scores are better, request that my high school send the colleges an unofficial copy. However, most of my schools are competitive and probably require official copies anyway. Sending those via ACT would be almost another $200.

Does anyone know whether admissions offices are ok with receiving scores after the deadline if the scores were requested before that?

No one has any advice?
I promise that I do not bite; all input is greatly appreciated.

Did you check the test score deadline for the colleges? Usually they will tell the last test date you can send scores from. For example TAMU deadline for everything is Jan 15, so the December scores should get there in time. Check each school’s website for test score information.
