If I got a A the 2nd time I take a class, do I put it as Academic Renewal or a A on my TAU?

Hi, I got a NP on my math class summer semester and upon retaking it this recent fall, I got an A. Do I choose the A from the dropdown menu when entering the grades or do I chose AR? It’s my first time retaking a class so I’m not sure of it.
I have been browsing and seen that people said AR is when you don’t take the class but just petition it to take it off but I just wanted clarification.
Thanks! #:-S

I think you should put ‘A’. They’ll see that you took the class twice. If you were to put ‘AR’, then they wouldn’t be able to factor the ‘A’ into your GPA - because retaken grades replace failed grades for UC admissions, this suggests to me that you should not put ‘AR’ as your grade for the class.

Congratulations!

You need to put both in : NP for first course in summer (which i assume is in the application, so you don’t mention in TAU), and now an A for recent fall one. This is not AR, it is a repeat. They will figure it out but you could mention in additional comments you retook the course.

@goldencub I also had the same thought because if I put AR, the grade I received wouldn’t seem to matter but it makes sense now for it to be entered an A instead o:
@Ohm888 I did that in the fall yes, and following what you suggested, I also mentioned it in the additional comments!
Thanks, both of you for your detailed responses. I appreciate the clarification!
