if I submit my fafsa April 1 instead of March 31st how much aid will I lose?

The priority deadline kind of crept on me, and my mom won't immediately reply to my calls as to how much income tax she paid (I think she's on a night shift) and I'm afraid I won't have an answer by midnight. How much aid will I lose if I do it tomorrow? I'm scared of recent comments in the news that this year the priority deadline will be strictly enforced.

I think I would make an educated guess and then amend when you find the exact numbers.

evita,

Isn’t April 30th the deadline rather than March 31st? March 1st is the deadline for incoming students if they want an award notice before May 1st!

April 30th is the deadline for returning undergrad students - for all required info and forms. However, no one should wait till the last minute, because finances and taxes are never simple.

UVa is stressing that this is a real deadline this year, so everyone should be finishing up their stuff ASAP.
