If i want to be a doctor in the future, what major should I choose?

My school has:

  1. Biochemistry
  2. Biological Science
  3. Biomedical Engineering
  4. BioResource & Agricultural Engineering

Pick which ever major interests you, where you think you can get a high GPA and will be a good stand alone major as a backup in case you do not get into Medical School.

No specific major is required to go to medical school, although you will need to complete a set of pre-med courses.

About half of applicants and matriculants to medical school major in a biology major, probably out of convenience (due to overlap between pre-med courses and major requirements). However, half major in something else (where the overlap is less or none, so the pre-med courses are taken in the out-of-major breadth and elective space).
