pfft no i wish i was. i'm from the l.a. (not louisiana) area.
& i know sdsu isn't a bad school, but the drop out ratings are pretty high and i'm afraid i'm going to end up as a drop out by partying too hard.

so suprise suprise. i didn't get in. eh sucks. guess ill go to sdsu now..

yup, same here. Trying for ME, 3.3 unweighted, 31ACT & 2160 SAT. have to choose Pomona or Chico now.

You have not been selected for admission to Cal Poly.

I'm with you fellas :(

Oh well, probably wouldn't have gone anyways.

i dont think having leadership and many EC's along with a job was quite important to cal poly. actually, i dont think its important to them at all.

Holy crap. Considering everyone here just got rejected I must of got rejected. I haven't heard from them yet, but when I get rejected, I'll join your guys' club. :(
Do they send an email? Or do you check yourself?

odd. i would have expected 3.3/2160 to have gotten in...

CP weighted 3.90 gpa. REJECTED for business. Can anyone explain this? Because I sure can't.

i have no idea. i got in with a 3.78...hmm that's a pickle.

=[

Just checked and I got rejected. Boy was that a weak rejection statement. So much for comfort. I guess they send all the rejections the same day. :(

Anyways, my stats were:
4.0 UC gpa
1720 SATs
Yearbook Editor-in-Chief
NHS/CSF/Key Club
AP Calc AB- 3, AP Bio- in progress

My SAT must have been my downfall. Man, I really wanted to go into CalPoly's architecture program. Oh well, off to UCSD! I live there anyway, but I have to choose a whole new major.

I still haven't seen any changes in my.calpoly.edu. I applied Architecture on Oct 30th, and in my status it still says "Thank you for applying to Cal Poly. No determination has been made at this time."

I got rejected too.... for architecture, but thats okay because I really had no intentions of going there. I just wanted to see if I'd get in, or if my opinion of the school would change by the time decisions arrived. I have an 1870 SAT, not sure what my calpoly GPA is, but I have a 3.7 uw/4.4 w GPA.

my stats are low compared to you guys so i dont feel bad at all. (3.8w/ 1750.) i guess i put too much time in EC's.

I'm somewhat around you guys so dont feel too bad - it's probably just your major.

accepted/w
Computer Science
1930 SATI
30 ACT
lots of EC's

good luck with your other schools

anyone know what's the best CSU's after Cal Poly and SDSU? iare CSULB, Pomona, and Chico the best ones to chose from?

i dont know about chico but lb & pomona's after cp & sd.

thanks for the help, i just got ccepted to CSULB for fall 2006 but sitll unsure if i'll attend there. thinking about applying to SDSU for spring 2007. i'm from the bay area, so i was wondering if LB was that much better than CSU's in Norcal like SFSU, SJSU, SOnoma, etc to move so far to Socal?

my daughter got rejected today too. It's obvious they sent all the rejects out at once. irritating!!! OK so, SDSU or Cal State Long Beach. Which one is more conservative, small school feel and closer feel to Cal Poly?

neither CSULB or SDSU has a small school feel, both are the largest CSU's. i bleieve CSULB is the 3rd largest Univ. in Cali. SDSU is considered more of a party school but i hear san diego is very cnservative. not sure about that, didnt get that impression when i visited there. If she wants a small school feel, maybe Sonoma State would be a schol to look into. only 7,000 students and good for liberal arts.
