If we lose this game...

this game made me sick. absolutely sick. every time the defense did anything right, the offense promptly squandered their chance.

Too bad the Gophers can’t play Michigan this year - we might have actually had a chance to win the Jug for once… Oh well, you can just watch us destroy Illinois when they come to our house next week! Have fun with RickRod!

really? Minnesota didn’t even beat 3-9 Michigan that lost to Toledo last year… so… Have fun at an inferior university… I know how it feels knowing that Michigan is the real U of M

This team is not looking good. They are making way too many mistakes. The turning point came in the third quarter. Instead of scoring on a 76 yard pass, the refs spotted the ball (rightly so) at the 1 yard line. We managed (I do not know how) to fail to score on all four of our attemps. Illinois then got the ball on their own 1 yard line and managed to turn that series into a TD-drive. So, instead of Michigan leading 20-7, Illinois led 14-13. From that point onward, Michigan collapsed and Illinois played well.

I must confess that the MSU and Illinois losses were unexpected. This team is not developping at the pace I expected. Hopefully we can win next week against Purdue and build on that win to close the year.

We can always hope I suppose.

MSU was favored in that game, so it wasn’t really unexpected. Everyone knew we were the worst 4-0 team in the country. At the beginning of the season Illinois and MSU were supposed to be the 3rd and 4th best teams in the country. But they both suck now. Illinois will go 2-10 with their only D1 win against us.

The most disappointing thing is seeing them give up during a game. One of the reasons I was excited about the Notre Dame game early in the season (the final outcome is irrelevant) was because it was a back-and-forth game where we didn’t give up. It seemed like a big change from last season, and it seemed like we gained a trait necessary for becoming a top team. Now, it seems like we have lost it and that makes the loss even more disappointing.

Oh I will… and by the way, we happily beat Michigan State for you guys last night. Honestly, it wasn’t even close. It feels good to run up 505 yards on a team that beat such an illustrious school as UMich.

Haha, growing up, I always thought Michigan was really good at football, like one of the best o_O

We used to be amazing under our previous coaches. We have like the most wins ever in the big 10 or some other ridiculously awesome stat.

Its just a really rough transition I guess…and having 2 freshmen quarterbacks don’t really help at all…

We have more wins than any other college in the country and the higest winning percentage. We are up like 50 or so wins on Texas, but our winning % will keep falling as long as RR is here.

Ah okay. Last year was RR’s first year, right?

yes. and he’ll get at least one more after this.

We suck in every single way.

Hate to be a ******, but boiler up! :)

You guys have a good punter though!

^^^And you guys probably won’t go to a bowl game either. The B10 is just not good!

I don’t even care if we don’t go to a bowl game. Purdue is NOT known for football compared to UMichigan. We are more of a basketball team  Maybe if we don’t get invited to the NCAA Tourney… then I’d be upset but I highly doubt it since we got a lot of depth this season.

And after my Badgers and OSU get through with you, it looks like Michigan won’t either ;)

Jim, a friend’s son is applying to Johnson and Wales in RI. I know the programs there are awesome, but how is the campus and student life? You can PM me if you prefer. Thanks for any insight you can offer.

MNT, enjoy it while it lasts. Wisconsin was one of Michigan’s three wins last year, so you never know! hehe! Seriously though, I doubt we will win another game this year. Hopefully, our defense can shape up by next year.
