I don't think I got an invite to apply for the Honors College, unless I missed it somehow, but just curious, since I now got rejected from Ross, I am looking more closely into applying for the Honors College.

If I did NOT get the invite, then is it significantly harder for me to get into the Honors College? So far, I haven't even seen any rejections...how many get in/rejected?

Also, I read somewhere that transferring into Ross after Freshman year from the honors college gives you a higher chance of getting into Ross...is this true??

I thought you had to get accepted to U of M first. As in, you got rejected from Ross…did you get into LSA? I thought there was just an honors program, not an honors college.

Sorry about my wording lol…yes I meant the Honors Program.

Yes, I did get into LSA back in November, then in December I learned that I was deferred from Ross. Today, I found that they were unable to offer me admissions. So I am now more curious about the Honors Program. I still hope to apply to Ross again next year if I attend Michigan.

Just do well in the classes you take and show some extracurricular leadership (initiative + results). The tag “honors college” doesn’t seem to be too big a factor from my observance of applicants.

You can definitely apply and get admitted to honors without an invite. Go for it.

Go ahead and apply without the invite. I’ve seen plenty of people make it and I’m doing it this year! Good luck. :D
