If you could kill anyone in the world (without consequences), who would you kill? Or would you not use this opportunity and not kill anyone?

I would not kill anyone. I do not feel that I have the power to take somone’s life. That is not * my * job…

I often daydream about killing/torturing people.

This thread feels like a trap though, so I won’t name names.

“IM SOOO HOOOOD”

In this hypothetical, you do.

I wouldn’t. I can’t imagine taking someone else’s life.

I am sure some good could come from a well-chosen target’s death, so I would hope that, unlike these other posters’, my conscience would not preclude my carrying it out.

It depends. One could be really selfless and sacrifice their conscience and kill off the top Al-Qaeda guy and secure some peace, or one could be selfish and make the world worse, but keep the conscience.

I was thinking about that this morning (not that I’m homicidal or anything…) and I decided I couldn’t deal with the remorse. And it’d be pretty lame, since a large part of the reason I don’t like this person has to do with his/her having killed people.

Mass murders, Heads of terrorist groups, leaders of factions in war ridden countries who have atrocious crimes, etc.

“kill off the top Al-Qaeda guy and secure some peace”

Doesn’t work like that.

I can’t think of anyone who I could make die and would really change the world all that much. Anyone important will just have someone take their place.

Maybe if I could single out the person in the US Senate who had the best leadership qualities, I would kill that person. Though that might depend on their political views as well.

Unless it is truly the person who is important, not the position that he or she occupies.

I don’t believe that I would intentionally kill anyone unless it was self-defense.

^We had this weirdo discussion in English and my teacher got mad at my friend for his saying that he didn’t want to kill anyone, even in self-defense.

I don’t know, maybe some really racist or homophobic person. Those are two things that I just cannot stand at all.

Natural selection missed someone I guess.

" Mass murders, Heads of terrorist groups, leaders of factions in war ridden countries who have atrocious crimes, etc."

I used to believe in this being okay…get rid of all of the bad…but if one is killing all of these people…it kind of makes one just as bad…or this is the way I perceive it anyway. I do not think it is our place to make that call…

“Unless it is truly the person who is important”

No one I can think of… You have someone in mind?

^Attila the Hun, if we’re talking dead people.

If Osama bin Laden died it would probably shake up the power structure. That might not be a good thing though.

^^You’re going to kill a dead person?

I can assure you, it will not make a difference.
