<p>I honestly don’t think this is a dumb question. Different people have different opinions ya know. : ) && I’m going to Cal in the fall so I wouldn’t know. Haha</p>

<p>I probably would if for no other reason than 3/4 of those are on the East Coast, which I very rarely have reason to visit. I would have considered Stanford but MY GOD is Palo Alto boring and the campus itself is really creepily uniform, perfectly manicured country club lawns, etc.</p>

<p>I almost definitely would have gone to Yale. It has just about everything I wanted from a college.</p>

<p>^ If you get financial aid at Cal, and they really want you, you can push them around to give you the same if not more. My friend got nearly a full ride to Cal and Yale was giving him much less, but when he told Yale about Cal, they pretty much gave him a full ride. >.></p>

<p>to those who responded with a “no”, you do realize what ‘no’ means right? “No” usually means you WONT go. Are you sure you didn’t mean to type Y-E-S-!-!-!, and accidentally typed “no”? Quickly correct your answer lest they anger the gods of HYPS admissions. </p>

<p>on a related note, does anyone know the chances of transferring to a HYPS school from cal? What sort of courses should a freshman take to increase his chances?</p>

<p>No. An HYPS waitlisted me, but unless I was offered $, I wouldn’t have gone anyway.</p>
