if you major in biochemistry..

what can you do...?
what is a good future career?
is it possible to be a bioengineer or biomedical engineer or any biotechnologist if you major in biochemistry?
thanks.

biochemistry is an excellent major for premeds.

biochemistry doesn't really let you become a biomedical engineer.. you'd have to study biomedical engineering to get into that and the fields are fairly distant.
You could go into research, become an academic, or work for some companies that deal with biochemistry... for example, cosmetic companies doing collagen injections or something.

Biochem and Immunology are both good majors for biotechnology. So is chemical biology.

Bioengineering, mechanical engineering and chemical engineering (chemical engineering being the best choice) are good preparation for biotech, bioengineering and biomedical engineering.

thank you guys!
