Any suggestions would be great!!!!!!!

You look like an excellent candidate for a lot of schools. That being said, you'd probably get more of a response if you posted some information about what sort of school you were looking for. Do you have an area of the country that you'd like to stay in, move into, get out of, or avoid all together? Are you interested in living in a city or would you prefer a rural campus? Are you looking for more of a liberal arts approach, or would you prefer going to a university or tech school? Is there an activity or sport you'd like your school to have? Is there a size you were thinking of--do you want someplace where you'll be able to identify just about everyone you meet, or a school where you can be 1 of 40,000? Are you interested in schools with a frat scene, or are those a total turn off? Answer some of those questions and I'd be happy to respond with suggestions of where to look.

Do you want a smaller liberal arts program with a strong chemistry major (College of Wooster, for example), a large university, something near home, far from home, liberal-leaning, conservative, offering good financial aid ...?

Well financial aid is a huge barometer (bc i have three other brothers one of which is already in college), but i would prefer not to be in a small city. But I also want a campus that is not too liberal (bc I am very conservative), but alot of the tops are liberal so I will have to face that fact T_T.

with URM status on top of his stats, he looks like an excellent candidate for any schools out there.

But my SAT seems pretty low. i am planing on taking the ACT, hoping for a 32.

Stanford? With URM status and nice stats you can go anywhere.

"Small city" meaning no city, or big city?

The intersection of big city and most conservative-friendly in the top n is probably Harvard and Chicago. (Based on my and my friends' experiences). I think you'll find an overall liberal skew there, but pockets of conservative. At least at Chicago, the UC Dems and UC Republicans do a lot of debates and programming together, and I've found there to be hefty opposition to typical collegey liberal movements (things like divesting from Sudan and kicking Coca-Cola off campus).

Harvard, Princeton, Stanford et. al. will make sure you can afford the school. If you get in :-)

You could probably also start looking around at good schools that have merit and need programs-- you'd definitely be a contender-- schools like WashU, Emory, and Vanderbilt.

Another possibility might be Amherst/Williams-- very different from what you're looking for as far as a city, but also conservative-friendly and also great aid.

Yeah I hear Harvard is conservative friednl, but I don't know if I could get in there. but i will ook at some of those merit things to evaluate whether or not i might be competitive. thanks!!!!

Not a sure bet, but that's what a good safety is for.

I'd say U of Michigan is a good match school. And it's one of the world's premier research universities, so that would be perfect for your major. I would also look into UC Berkeley (if you can get your SAT up a tiny bit), UCLA, Wisconsin-Madison, and perhaps Duke. I know UCB isn't "conservative," but believe me when I say that you can be whoever you want/believe whoever you want there. Perhaps also check out Notre Dame and Boston College, they have decent sci programs from what I've heard.

I'd try and steer clear of small liberal arts schools, just cuz they won't have near the research capabilities or research funding as the major public ivies.

Good luck!
