Basically, if I'm considering transferring (obviously a long way off) would it be wise to take another SAT while attending my current school?

this question is the same as asking…" will it be wise to do all four years of high school again"?

Yeah, what jasonbourne said. Colleges care more about your college gpa and course selection.

I was considering applying to Pomona and Occidental and they look at SAT and ACT scores for Transfer students.

Also, I’m not sure but i think USC too.

So maybe retaking the SAT and ACT isn’t such a bad idea, especially if the schools you are looking into require them, especially if you didn’t do so good.

The SAT is meaningless after high school, everyone I’v ever talked to and every site I’ve ever read says don’t retake it

rca2446 is right, Pomona College require transfer students submit SAT/ACT scores unless you are out of high school 5 years or more.

Occidental College too.

So OP, make sure check their websites for schools you going to apply. Different school have different requirements.

I thought the standard CC answer was that it’s worth retaking if you are trying sophomore transfer.
