Transfers should retake SAT/ACT??

I am now 20 years old looking to transfer to a UC in fall 2010. Is it wise to take the SAT and ACT again for an improved score??
Thanks!

I don’t think admissions care for SAT/ACT scores when it comes to transfers.

you’re not asked to include SAT/ACT scores…

Transfer students to UC don’t need to include SAT or ACT scores, so there’s no need for you to re-take them.

but it would look good if you improved your school from high school…

no they don’t even consider them

As mentioned above, the UC system does not consider or look at your high school ‘history’ if you are transferring. What is essential is that you polish what you have done at the college level thus far.

this may be a little extreme, but do them if you are applying to east coast schools, any ivy’s or Privates, they do ask for them. I do not know how much they are weighed, I presume very little if you have 60 semester units, but for Stanford etc, if you are serious about attending you should take it over.

Yes, but if one is applying to a UC school like UCLA, they do not ask for them.
