South Korea, but I live in Cali

waitlisted- anyone know the possibility of getting off of the waitlist?

You can’t get deferred now. It’s either accept or reject since there’s nothing to be deffered to.

here you go. Colgate waitlist data:

[Colgate University Guide](http://www.enotes.com/colgate-university-guide)

this is old data, it appears

circa 2004

@waitlisted CCers: how did you find out?? did you get an email or a letter???

I got the letter today. It took nearly 3 days to reach Asia.
And yes, it’s an acceptance. :)

^^ congratulations dancer… which country r u from?? was the packet FredEXed?? did you receive any email notification from them???

Has anybody from Europe received anything yet?

so johnadams it says Applicants Placed on Waiting List:
889
Applicants Accepted from Waiting List:
435
Students Enrolled from Waiting List:
44
does that mean they take 435 off of the waitlist or 44?

According to those numbers, they accept 435 people from the waiting list, but only 44 decide decide to enroll (i.e. actually attend Colgate and not some other university).

I think it means that they accepted 435 people who were on the waitlist but of those 435, only 44 decided to go.

@3333: I’m from India and it was a FedEx. Didn’t receive any email

It means 889 were ask to go on the waiting list

435 agreed to go on the waiting list

and

44 of those 435 were admitted and are attending Colgate

these are the standard categories used for waitlist stats

just got my packet… yippie… i never even imagined that they would be so generous… after those numbers of rejections and wait-lists i was really starting to lose all hope!! :)… i love you Colgate… u really saved my life!!

Hey! This sounds at least like not-so-bad news to me… Im also an international applying for need-based aid and so far I have not gotten an e-mail. Im not in the country right now so I cant check the actual correspondence but I sent them an e-mail asking about my decision and they said it would arrive in the mail… so yay?! Congrats to all those accepted

^^ no news is good news… congratulations… :)… i didn’t get any email either…

I live in Singapore, and just got my acceptance letter today… it had been sitting in customs for 2 weeks! Haha but it was definately worth the wait. Congrats to everyone who got in!

Yeah, no news is definitely good news, I got in! Congrats to all those who did as well.

I didn’t get financial aid though, which is weird because Colgate isn’t need blind and I still got accepted… I just hope I can find some way to pay for tuition.
