My friend got a 42% on a test we took in our English class...
And a 2360 on his SATs. The world is a funny place... d;

failed art in seventh grade... on my final report card... got less than 50%... shining moment for me :)

I failed 7 classes in high school. I'm attending an Ivy League school right now. Don't worry there is light at the end of the tunnel.

haha don't worry, all of us have failed at some point. last year i failed the first test of the year in my honors precalc class. the teacher confronted me about it and i immediately started crying. not my proudest moment haha.

oh and my favorite failing story from middle schoool:

a kid walked into my spanish class seething mad. his friends asked him why he was in such a bad mood and he slams a paper down on the desk. i saw what was written on it since he was right next to me. the reason? he got a negative 5 on a math test. he got every question wrong AND forgot to put his name on the paper. lmao.

^that's natural selection at work

I got soo mad when I forgot to put a heading on my paper... we dont do that in aussieland... so when I was in the states it was a weird experience for me... forgot on the first maths test I did... got full marks on the test... lost 5 or 10 marks cause I forgot the heading... argh. I had missed the first couple days and it was only like my second day in class... irritated the hell out of me

@beeish:
that stinks. i've had teachers do that too. in my ninth grade honors english class the teacher had an OCD-like heading that you HAD to have. and once a few people misspelled "Wednesday" so she took a bunch of points off their paper.

ThreeDude did u really fail 7 classes in high school..like actual F's. if u did im so happy right now (not because u failed) i failed Math and i have ACTUAL chances in ivy

I actually did... then again I did write some of the most advanced code in my industry and reverse engineer a multimillion dollar algorithm. But I wanted to give some home to the OP, so I didn't want to mention that part. Oh well.

thanks for making me feel better :( i'm still not getting into ivy.. did u do all of that in high school??

Oh hell no... the year after.

so u did all of that in college right??

Umm
In terms of individual assessments I've failed so many times that I don't know I can list them all
Some good ones though:
Freshman year - 30/100 Geometry test
.....so many bio quizzes I don't even remember
52/100 french test
Sophomore year - 5/60 French quiz...wow
57/100 math test (I had an A- average until this...and I got a B+...what *****)
This year - I have not failed anything but I ended this semester with a C average in math, and my math teacher said he always scales so I'm praying and praying for a slightly better grade when the reports come out
feel better?

Have I ever failed?

Academically, yeah. Got really sad scores on some tests and quizzes.

In real life? Even moreso. I wouldn't mind failing a few more tests if I actually had a life. Lol

No, I didn't want to go to a city/state college so I decided to work instead. After a couple of years out of HS I knew I was going to go back to college because I just got bored with computers and I wanted to learn in an academically challenging environment so I talked to a few admissions offices and decided on the school I wanted to go to and I'll be attending my first choice in the fall.

that doesnt make me feel better at all

Would it make you feel better if I told you I spent a couple thousand dollars in plane tickets to talk to admissions officers in person?

no because im doing the same thing but mine involves a summer activity for some US Congress stuff

cool deal.

I got a 6 on the SAT essay the first time I took it. When my mom found out it was graded out of 12, she stared at me dumbfounded for literally 30 seconds.
