I went to the admissions office today to pick up the forms to request IGETC certification. It says you do one IGETC app for each campus you applied to. Is that right? I applied to some extra schools (seven in total) because in high school i regretted not filling out more applications. Each IGETC app is $5.

Should I do an IGETC form for each of the schools I applied to or should I wait to see if I get into one of my top choices in march and then certify?

Hopefully someone here knows what to do. Thanks

Yes that is correct, it’s a pain in the ass but it doesn’t really involve too much effort. Just do them all, the only thing you loose is $35, only 30 if you count the college you end up going to as money not wasted.

Yea, the money is no problem. Its still less than applying to 1 campus. I just didn’t want to fill out the forms and the checks if I didn’t need to.

Good point, it will only be $30 wasted. Appreciate the response.

I thought we only had to send that once we were accepted?

^ that is what the C.C tell you and i also believe university tell you to send the igetc certification along with the official transcript

So, why would you send one to every school, if you’re only gonna attend one? Shouldn’t you only send one to the school that accepts you, and you wish to attend?

If I recall correctly my CC only charged $3 a piece and they let me pay in cash, but they had me fill it out the same semester as transfer applications were due. I think the issue was that they take time to process so you don’t want to put it off until the last minute. But my community college is pretty large and tends towards taking forever to process paperwork, maybe yours doesn’t.

Ah, okay, I see where this is going. Thanks for the info, guys.
