UC IGETC should not require American Instituions: U.S History, Const, and American Ideals, right? That section should only apply for CSU (according to green slip).

Yes, BUT you still have to fulfill that requirement after you transfer, if you don’t do it at CCC.

So I guess this means not taking that section will not result in a negative impact on my chances. I have a chance of fulfilling that section. In a 3 week online course during the summer (May 26 to June 12). Will this summer intercession course be counted, or am I barred from taking IGETC courses during the summer prior to transfer?
If I had the chance to knock out a class in three weeks, I’d jump on it. You can take classes, just do well and let your UC counselor know once you SIR.
I don’t think if it impacts admission chances- classes you take going forward won’t affect admissions. I was just letting you know that you’ll either have to do it now or later… I’m 99% sure you can finish IGETC in the summer.

No you don’t need it before transfer, and whether you take it or not has no impact on admissions. And yeah, CC counselors suck…get used to that lol
