I'LL CHANCE BACK!! Chance for liberal arts colleges & a few ivies

Hello! I am currently a junior at a pretty competitive public high school in NJ. I was wondering what my chances would be at the following schools:

Barnard College (possibly ED)
Wellesley College
Amherst College
Dartmouth College
Yale University
Brown University
Northwestern University
Tufts University
New York University
George Washington University
Safety: Rutgers University

Barnard is sort of my first choice, but I am not 100% sure if I want to apply ED there. I want to go into journalism in the future so I plan on majoring in Political Science or International Relations or maybe even something like Art History or English Literature.

SAT I: 2180
SAT IIs: Math II-730, US History-780, Spanish-750
UW GPA: My school calculates GPA a little differently, but on a 4.0 scale, my GPA is around a 3.82 (I have received 4 B+s in my high school career [sad face], but the rest are As and I have a huge upward trend)
APs: Sophomore Year- AP US History I (my school splits it into two courses); Junior Year- AP Micro/Macro Economics, AP English Language, AP US History II, AP Calculus AB; Senior Year- AP Biology, AP European History, AP English Literature, AP Spanish, AP Statistics
Rank: School doesn't rank

THANKS!!!

can someone please chance me???

I think you have a fighting chance for everything except Yale, Darthmouth, Brown, and Northwestern. In order to get into those you are going to need to raise that SAT score by another 70 points at least and get that gpa as high as you can. Good Luck!

You will definately get into Barnard ED and would be a great fit there. I’m also thinking of applying…probably not ED, but you never know!

I’m a junior from central NJ myself! And a competitive high school too. Anyway, you do have a pretty good chance because of all of your EC’s, so there could be a possibility that your GPA or SAT may be overlooked? I’m not sure. Just don’t slack off and get early-on-set senioritis, otherwise, you’re fine. :)

The SAT score and maybe the GPA will hinder you a bit, especially with other applicants that are just as qualified, but you should have a good chance at Barnard, NYU, Tufts, GW, and the schools around that level.
